How to Get a Flying Pet in Prehistoric Farm (Roblox Guide)

How to Obtain Your First Flyer in Prehistoric Farm

In Prehistoric Farm on Roblox, flying pets are essential for efficient travel and exploration. Unlike standard ground-based creatures, flyers allow you to traverse the map quickly. To get your first flyer, you must embark on a specific questline that requires preparation, patience, and a bit of resource management.

Before starting, ensure you have the necessary tools. You will need a fishing rod to catch bait-related items and a silver shovel for the excavation portion of the mission. Additionally, keep 10,000 coins in your inventory; this is the final cost required to claim your egg from the quest giver.

Preparing for the Sky Spires Quest

The quest for a flying pet begins at the Sky Spires island. To find it, head to the Auction Island using your boat. Once you arrive, look for a series of buoys trailing behind the island. Following these buoys will lead you directly to the Sky Spires.

Upon arrival, locate an NPC named Clara. She will offer you the quest required to unlock flying creatures. Once you accept, you will need to return to your Home Island to prepare for the heavy fishing and digging tasks ahead.

1. Travel to the Auction Island via your boat.
2. Follow the line of buoys located behind the Auction Island to reach Sky Spires.
3. Speak with Clara and accept the quest.
4. Return to your Home Island to purchase bait from the local vendor.

Catching Pufferfish and Gathering Resources

The first phase of the quest involves catching 20 pufferfish. You will need to purchase bait from the shop on your Home Island to get started. You can carry a maximum of 15 baits at a time, so expect to make a few trips or stock up before you head out to the fishing zones.

According to community reports, this is often considered the most time-consuming part of the process. Once you have successfully caught all 20 pufferfish, return to the Sky Spires island and hand them over to Clara to progress to the next stage of the mission.

Completing the Excavation Task

After turning in the pufferfish, you must head to the Triassic island. This is where your silver shovel becomes mandatory. You are tasked with digging up 70 rocks to satisfy the requirements of the quest.

Tip

While the task requires 70 rocks, ensure your silver shovel is equipped before you start digging. If you do not have a silver shovel, you will be unable to complete this specific objective, forcing you to return to the shop and restart the effort.

Once you have gathered the required 70 rocks, return to the Auction Island to finalize the quest with Clara. After a brief dialogue, you will be asked to pay 10,000 coins. Upon payment, you will receive a flyer egg.

Understanding Flyer Rarity and Hatching

Once you have your egg, you can hatch it to reveal your new pet. It is important to note that the quality of the flyer is randomized. While you are guaranteed a flying pet, there is a 5% chance to hatch a legendary version.

Players often repeat this quest multiple times to aim for the legendary flyer. If you are unhappy with your first result, you can repeat the entire questline—fishing for pufferfish, digging for rocks, and paying the coin fee—until you obtain the pet you desire.
